Saurashtra – Kachchh Region Of Gujarat Possesses Unique Components Of Flora. Medicinal Plants Have Been Used By Mankind For Ages To Cure Common As Well As Serious Health Ailments. Indian Flora Comprises An Affluent Floristic Diversity Of Medicinal Plants. Medicinal Values Of These Plants Are Exploited In Major Modes Of Therapy Such As Homeopathy, Aromatherapy, Traditional Ayurvedic Medicine, Unani, Herbal Therapy, Etc. The Documentation Of Ethnobotanical Information Is Essential For A Better Understanding Of The Relations Between Humans And Plants And To Progress Related Disciplines Such As Ethnopharmacology. Kachchh Supports Many Plant Species Of High Medicinal Value Of These Several Species. Gujarat Covers A Nearly 1600 Km Coastal Area, Which Is The Longest Among All The States Of The Country, And It Covers Almost 21.9% Of The Indian Coastline Of India. Marine Macroalgae Are A Diverse Group Of Organisms. Seaweed Has Great Importance, Rich In Vitamins, Minerals, Proteins, Carbohydrates, Amino Acids, Lipids, Etc. It Is Used As Food, Animal Feeds, Fertilizer, And As Raw Materials In The Industrial Production Of Industrial Phycocolloids On Nutritional Food And Aquaculture. Due To The Richness Of Bioactive Constituents, It Revealed Many Applications Such As Antioxidant, Anticancer, Antimalarial, And Pharmacological Activities.
