An early detection of phytopathogen using the Non-invasive techniques

Image

The Project Focus On The Early Detection Of Phytopathogen. A Plant Pathogen Is A Disease-causing Agent That Obtains Its Nutrients From The Host, Normally Causing Harm But Not Causing Death Immediately. Plant Disease Is Caused Due To Chain Of Events, Where Symptoms And The Manifestation Of Injury To Plant Are The Last Link And The Visual Symptoms Appear Too Late. Biocontrol Methods Are Challenging If The Disease Is Not Forecast At An Early Stage. Early Assessment Of Disease Incidence And Severity In Field Crops Is Crucial In Both Basic And Applied Plant Research. Accurate And Timely Assessments Are Essential As They Form The Cornerstone Of Field Plant Protection Measures. We Have Used GDV Technique To Detect Groundnut Leaf Spot Disease. Groundnut Leaf Spot Disease Is One Of The Problems Which Affect The Successful Production Of Groundnut Seed And Cause Yield Loss And Heavily Spotted Leaves Are Early Shed Before Harvesting. Leaves Of Infected, Healthy And Early Infected Plant Selected. The Image Of These Leaves Was Captured With GDV T Echnique. With The Help Of EPI Instrument, Bioelectrogram Parameters Generated Like Glow Area, Entropy, Form Coefficient, Intensity Of Luminescence, Total Intensity, GDV Area, Entropy By Isoline, And Average Intensity Were Measured For Defining The Studied Groundnut Leaves In Healthy, Unhealthy And Symptomatic Condition. The Significant Difference Was Observed In GDV Parameters Between All The Selected Leaf Categories (Table 1). Healthy Leaves Of Infected Plants Not Seen As Symptomatic Physiologically But GDV Parameters Of Those Leaves Are Closely Related To Infected Leaves. That Means With The Help Of GDV Technique We Can Differentiate Healthy Plants, Unhealthy Plants And The Plants Which Are Infected But Appear As Healthy Plant. GDV Technique Is A High-speed And Non-invasiveness Method For The Detection Of The Disease. GDV Method May Help To Prevent To Spread The Disease In Plants And Help To Farmers In Increase In Yield.
